CHARITY'S HOPE COMMUNITY RESOURCES

ABOUT US
Charity's Hope was founded in 2017 by myself, Shirley Stewart, a successful business owner, and well-respected community leader. I started my nonprofit by collecting winter coats, hats, gloves, socks, backpacks, and lunch bags, not just for children but adults as well. I distributed them out of my own home at the beginning of every school year. I then realized that people were in need all year round, more so during the holiday season. I went on the hunt for a service location where the most vulnerable could gain access. I signed a 12-month lease with Hillside Plaza to start. I stepped out on my faith with the expectation that God WOULD meet the needs of my community!
Charity's Hope is located in the heart of Colorado Springs. We serve a high population of homeless people, recently released incarcerated persons, people living in shelters, and those living in somber homes who desire to recover from numerous addictions.
We assist all in need by providing food, clothing, hygiene, basic necessities, and employment lead opportunities, including resume writing and mock interview training. In 2021, the organization implemented a rent and utility assistance program to extend its outreach endeavors to prevent homelessness during the era of COVD-19. Charity's Hope is a privately owned and community-funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that missions to expand continually.
